Rallying the Troops

Today was all about getting ready for the next phase of the trip -- transitioning from Mom Time to Friendsgiving Adventure.

Mike and I packed up and played Backgammon with Mom before grabbing lunch at a nearby beef noodle soup place (中壢新品牌牛肉麵食 Zhōng lì xīn pǐnpái niúròu miànshí).

Mom dropped us off at the airport so we could do a dry run for later on. We took the airport MRT to Taipei, switched to the Taipei MRT and then walked to the Airbnb where we met the host and settled in.

Then, we did it backwards, keeping track of time. It took about 2 hours and we were early to the airport, so Mike finally got MOS Burger. We were able to meet the Fricks right when they exited to Terminal 2, but we had to take the shuttle to Terminal 1 to meet Cherry and Eddie, so they waited for us and I didn't get the photo of them coming out of Customs/Baggage.

We made it home with everyone intact and put our bags down, before stepping out to 7/11 and FamilyMart for snacks which we munched on while catching up in the Airbnb hallway. Gia started a ChocoPie obsession at FamilyMart.
