We took it easy today. Mom and I went to the market around the corner for milk (for her coffee). This is my first time seeing the new local store; it's super convenient. Mom and her neighbors call it their big fridge. We saw neighbors Steven and Chui shushu in lobby. I am a big fan of the condo life. Neighbors and friends are just always around.
After coffee at home, we went to Mom's art teacher's exhibition at a library in Xinwu (新屋 Xīnwū) -- For Mike: 桃園市立圖書館新屋分館 Táoyuán shìlì túshū guǎn xīnwū fēnguǎn.
Teacher spoke and had guest speakers, as well. We got a glimpse at the breadth of his talent, which is immense, spanning traditional watercolor to super modern 3D oil painting to hand-carved seals.
Afterwards, Mom and I went to Mamaway in downtown Zhongli (recommended by Jiang jiejie) to get maternity stuff, like a pregnancy belly band and a postnatal belly band. Back home, we had made noodles to have with leftover soup for dinner before we went to the airport to pick up Mike (with a side trip to Mamaway to pick up our purchase).
Mike's flight was a little delayed, and customs/baggage claim took him much longer than it had taken me. When we finally got home, he was too tired for a proper meal so we just chatted, had some fruit and I played with my phone (which Mike brought for me! So nice to have a phone again!).
